We'll get someone out there as fast as we can. Sometimes within an hour. Sometimes it takes a bit longer depending on where you are and what else is happening. But we show up.

What Counts as a Roof Emergency

Not every roof problem needs immediate attention. But some do.

Active leaks are emergencies. Water coming into your house right now. That's causing damage every minute it continues.

Storm damage is an emergency. Trees or branches on your roof. Sections of roofing blown off. Holes from falling debris.

Sudden structural problems are emergencies. Your roof sagging. Rafters cracking. Anything that looks like it might collapse.

Fire damage obviously needs immediate attention. Even small fires can compromise your roof structure.

If you're not sure whether it's an emergency, call us anyway. We'd rather check it out and tell you it can wait than have you suffer more damage.

    Our Emergency Response Process

Here's what happens when you call for emergency repairs.

First, we assess the situation over the phone. What's going on? Where's the leak? How bad is it? This helps us know what to bring and how fast we need to get there.

Then we come out. Usually we can at least tarp the area or do a temporary fix to stop immediate damage. That might be all we can do at night or during a storm.

Once things are stable, we figure out the real fix. Sometimes we can do it right then. Sometimes we need to come back with materials or wait for better weather.

We document everything with photos to track the damage and repair process.

    Tarping and Temporary Fixes

Sometimes a permanent fix has to wait. But we can stop the damage from getting worse.

Tarping is the most common temporary solution. We put heavy tarps over the damaged area and secure them properly so wind can't get under them. A good tarp job will hold for weeks or even months if needed. That gives you time to get materials ordered and schedule the actual repair.

We also do temporary patches. Maybe nail down some plywood over a hole. Maybe seal around a flashing that's come loose. Whatever keeps water out until we can fix it right. Temporary doesn't mean sloppy. We do it properly so it actually works.

    Common Emergency Situations

Storm Damage: Central Coast storms can be rough. Wind, rain, sometimes both at once. We've seen shingles blown off, tree branches through roofs, and water pooling where it shouldn't. After a big storm, we prioritize active leaks first.

Leak Emergencies: Water coming through your ceiling means water is getting into places it shouldn't. That damages insulation, drywall, framing, and everything else it touches. Our first job is stopping the water - that might mean tarping from outside or accessing the attic to contain it there.

Tree and Debris Damage: Trees falling on roofs happen more than you'd think, especially during winter storms. If a tree or large branch is on your roof, don't try to remove it yourself. We work with tree services to safely remove trees from roofs, then assess and repair the damage.

Wind Damage: High winds can rip shingles right off your roof. Missing shingles are an emergency because they expose the underlayment or even the decking. We keep common shingle types on our trucks and can often replace missing shingles same day.

Fire Damage: Fire weakens roof structure and creates holes that let in water. We come out, assess structural safety, and cover any openings. Fire damage repairs usually need permits and inspections, which we can handle.

    Why Fast Response Matters

Every minute water is coming into your house, it's causing more damage. Drywall gets soggy and needs replacing. Insulation gets soaked and loses its value. Wood framing can start rotting. Mold can start growing in as little as 24 hours.

Fast response means less damage. Less damage means lower repair costs and less hassle. That's why we answer emergency calls even at inconvenient times. Because waiting until tomorrow can cost you thousands of dollars in additional damage.

    Prevention Is Better Than Emergency

Most roof emergencies can be prevented with regular maintenance. Get your roof inspected every few years. Fix small problems before they become big ones. Keep your gutters clean so water drains properly. Trim trees that hang over your roof.

We offer regular roof inspections. They cost way less than emergency repairs. And they help you catch problems early. But if you do have an emergency, we're here.
